elcome to Mysterious World®, your online guide to exotic travel destinations around the world! Mysterious World is a quarterly online journal dedicated to exploring ancient and exotic locales around the world, providing you with the information you need to truly appreciate what they have to offer. Mysterious World provides you with the historical, archaeological, and travel information, as well as biographical information about famous people and artifacts related to these famous locales. Whether you are planning that dream trip to Egypt, or you are looking for an interesting nearby destination for a simple day trip, or overnight excursion, Mysterious World covers it all.

Well, its been 5 interesting years since our last issue of Mysterious World. With the publication of our first travel guide, Mysterious World: Ireland in 2006, and the uncovering of many of the ancient secrets of the Bible that have been sealed away for literally thousands of years, our schedule has been busy indeed. However, the fruit of our extended labors has been fertile indeed, and we believe that you will find that our latest offerings will be well worth the wait.

In our new issue we have new press releases from The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, ShalomJourneys.com and Rings Scenic Tours.

The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, which is celebrating its first anniversary after a very successful opening last February. Since then, the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience has been a huge success, attracting such celebrities as Matt Lauer, who hosted a "Where in the World Is Matt Lauer" travel feature, and even King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium, who completed their tour of Ireland at the cliffs. ShalomJourneys.com is offering two new Israel tours: "The Holy Land Tour" and "The Footsteps of our LORD" tour. Highlights of The Holy Land Tour include Mount Massada, and the Dead Sea, while The Footsteps of Our Lord" tour literally takes you through the traditional locations specifically associated with Jesus. Rings Scenic Tours offers tours of the Alexander family farm near Matamata, New Zealand, the location for the Hobbiton that was specially designed for the hugely successful Lord of the Rings trilogy. Though most of the farm has been returned to its original condition, some set pieces still remain, as well as most of the original trees and lanscape of the beautiful New Zealand countryside. Newly added is The Shire's Rest Function Centre/Cafe, designed to accomodate both individuals and large tour groups. (Click here for more....)

In this quarter's book review section, we will look at J.R.R. Tolkien's Letters from Father Christmas. This interesting, holiday oriented book is essentially a compilation of letters that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote to his sons and daughter from the years 1920 to 1943. Elaborate and lavishly illustrated they, like the rest of Tolkien's posthumously published works (The Silmarillion et. al.) are well worthy of publication, and would make an excellent addition to any Tolkien library, especially around Christmas. This quarter's Fragments section first takes a look at the mysterious celtic cross, a very ancient symbol co-opted by Christianity that may actually have its roots in ancient science as a universal tool of measurement. Our second fragment discusses an interesting find right here in the American Midwest of a curious stone bearing markings that may indicate that St. Peter may have indeed "walked the Americas". Finally, our third fragment is a special "double size" fragment, as it takes up the very important idea that Vladimir Putin may be the infamous Gog of the land of Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39 as the one who will lead the Russian and allied peoples to invade Israel at the time of the end. Our new Artifacts section features a ground-breaking study of the events of the biblical Exodus. Based upon emerging research into ancient science, specifically the possibility that the ancients had a more advanced understanding of electricity than previously thought, as well as research into the mysterious properties of platinum group elements, particularly gold, The Exodus Revelation represents the cutting edge in biblical and ancient Near Eastern studies. In this new 4-part series, which will be leading up to another 4-part series on the Ark of the Covenant, Tabernacle, and Temples of the ancient Hebrews in 2009, we will see how and how the rise and fall of nations, and all of mankind's history, may center around a battle between the forces of light and darkness, and their primary weapons: monatomic gold, and a pernicious nanovirus known commonly today as Morgellon's Disease. Most importantly, the control of both may hinge on the control of three mysterious jewels known as the tsoharim, control of which will determine who controls the destiny of the world. In Part I of the Exodus Revelation series, we will study the life and character of Moses, and the true location of Mt. Sinai as a prologomena to the remaining three parts, in which we will unseal these secrets that have lain hidden for literally thousands of years. (Click here for more....)

Culled from our first travel guide, Mysterious World: Ireland, our first feature article this quarter is based upon travel writer and Mysterious World contributor Ian Middleton's journey through Ireland's Leinster province, one of Ireland's most heavily traveled provinces. In this excerpt, we focus on Ian's journey through Dublin, County Dublin, and discover that it is probably the best all-around tourist destination in Ireland, combining both ancient and modern into a complete travel experience that is tough to beat anywhere else in the Western World. Join Ian Middleton on the first of our new four-part series culled from Mysterious World: Ireland on his journey through mysterious Leinster! (Click here for more....)

Our second feature article this quarter is a bonus fifth part of our original four-part series on giants, entitled "Giants of Ireland". Due to popular demand, we decided to publish excerpts of our section on giants to be found in our new travel guide, Mysterious World: Ireland. Focusing on the mysterious Tuatha de Danann, a powerful Scythian tribe that emigrated from Central Asia sometime near the end of the second millennium b.c., this fresh new article on giants actually includes the personal names and biographies of several famous giants from Irish history, including the legendary Nuada, Lugh, Finn McCool, Ossian, and many more. Continuing in our tradition of basing the subject of our second feature article on mysterious people or creatures, "Giants of Ireland" will be the first in the series of four articles on mysterious people and creatures from Irish mythology. (Click here for more....)

For our third and final feature article for this quarter, we present a new type of article never previously seen in Mysterious World: a "DaVinci Code" type article entitled, The Lord of the Rings Cipher. In "Morgoth's Ring", the first installment in this new four-part series, we will examine how J.R.R. Tolkien's guiding motivation for creating The Lord of the Rings was not for commercial gain, but to encode, or "encipher", ancient secrets that he had discovered during a lifetime of obsessive study and research into ancient religion, mythology and language into a comprehensive storyline so that they would remain available for future generations to decode. Coincidentally (?), these ancient secrets correspond very well with the secrets that we uncovered during research for our Artifacts series, "The Exodus Revelation" (op. cit.), that was written and researched before we wrote "The Lord of the Rings Cipher". For example, among other things, Tolkien discovered that control of the universe does indeed hinge on the control of three mysterious jewels, that he called the Silmarilli, the basis for the title of his highly influential, posthumously published "prequel" to The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion. In sum, though we would like to think that our discoveries in The Exodus Revelation were first uncovered by us, it may be that we were merely walking in the footsteps of giants.
